A perfomative food event by Ragnheiður Maísól Sturludóttir on the multilayered world of sourdough. Guests are invited on a journey where all their senses are engaged. Simultaneously, various aspects are highlighted, such as the impact the slow time of sourdough has on the fast pace of modern life, the emotions and connections sourdough can embody, and how sourdough has accompanied us throughout human history.

The work is based on Ragnheiður Maísól’s final project in applied folklore at the University of Iceland, where she studied the relationship between bakers and their sourdough, as well as the impact of baking on their daily lives.
