Flétta is an Icelandic design studio founded by product designers Birta Rós Brynjólfsdóttir and Hrefna Sigurðardóttir.
Flétta focuses on circular design and craftsmanship, transforming everyday discarded materials into unique, high-value products. Their approach to design is playful, yet critical of pressing issues of consumption and waste. This commitment to sustainability and creativity has earned them prestigious recognitions, including awards for the project Pizza Time and the Airbag cushion at the Icelandic Design Awards.
This event is a part of our monthly family program, co-hosted by the Museum of Design and Applied Arts and Culture in Garðabær. The workshops are always led by professionals, opening windows for children and their families into their fields of design and craftmanship.
