The Best Book Design from all over the World competition has been held since 1963 with the goal to encourage international dialogue on book design.
This year, approximately 600 books from 30 countries entered the competition. The 14 books that received awards are here on display and guests are welcome to browse through them.
The awarded books came from Denmark, Germany, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and South Korea. Awards are given in 5 categories — Goldene Letter (Grand Prize), gold, silver, bronze, and special mentions.
The Grand Prize went to the book Susi + Ueli Berger. Kunst am Bau und im öffentlichen Raum 1968-2008. The jury comments that “The book is published in relation to an exhibition featuring works by Susi and Ueli, but it should be viewed as an independent experience of their works.”
The exhibition is held in collaboration with The Association of Icelandic Graphic Designers and Stiftung Buckunst
