Flétta

Product designers Birta Rós Brynjólfsdóttir and Hrefna Sigurðardóttir founded Stúdíó Flétta in 2018.

Flétta’s focuses on social responsibility,  circular design and craftsmanship, transforming everyday discarded materials into unique, high-value products. Their approach to design is playful, yet critical of pressing issues of consumption and waste. This commitment to sustainability and creativity has earned them prestigious recognitions, including the Icelandic Design Awards in 2023.

The duo will be based in the museum for three months and will introduce new work during Design March 2026.

Guests can purchase work from the designers or through the museum shop.
