JohannaSeeleman

Designer Johanna Seelemann, who is based in both Germany and Iceland, presents her work and career. She graduated in product design from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2016 and from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2019. Johanna is an incredibly exciting young designer and has exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Design Museum in London, the Textile Museum in Tilburg, the Design Museum in Helsinki, among others. She has also been nominated for the Ralph Saltzman Prize and was listed by Dezeen as one of the most exciting young designers of 2023.

Johanna delves deeply into the stories behind everyday objects, material use, production processes, and ecology — with the goal of creating desirable visions of the future.

The lecture is held in collaboration with HAKK gallery, where an exhibition of Johanna’s work opens on September 19.
